HSPT and SSAT

Thank you for your interest in HSPT or SSAT Test Preparation at Disciplined Minds Tutoring! Below you will find more information about our services currently offered in preparation for HSPT and SSAT testing.

HSPT

The High School Placement Test is administered to 8th grade students applying to Academy of the Holy Names and Jesuit High School, among others. Individual tutoring is available for the HSPT.

Individual tutoring sessions are typically 1 hour in length and cover all 5 sections of the test, along with the essay.

The first step towards individualized tutoring is to set up a HSPT practice exam. These scores help us determine a lesson plan for each student, including number of sessions and time needed.

 A consultation with one of our HSPT tutors and you/your child is recommended and should take place before the first session.

Beginning August 8th 2021, sessions are $80.00 per hour or may be purchased at a discounted package rate of $750 for 10 sessions. Packages are available in 10, 12, and 14 sessions; amount of sessions will be determined during your HSPT consultation.

SSAT

The Secondary School Admissions Test is administered to elementary through high school aged students applying to private and boarding schools, among others. Individual tutoring is available for the SSAT.

Individual tutoring sessions are typically 1 hour in length and cover all 4 sections of the test, along with the essay.

The first step towards individualized tutoring is to set up a SSAT practice exam. These scores help us determine a lesson plan for each student, including number of sessions and time needed.

 A consultation with one of our SSAT tutors and you/your child is recommended and should take place before the first session.
