Ashley Carmean

Tutor Grade 6-8 Math, Algebra 1, Algebra 2

Ashley graduated from the University of North Florida with a Bachelor’s of Science in Health in 2017. She says she was blessed with the opportunity to play on UNF’s Women’s soccer team during her years of college, and she relates well to those students who strive to balance sports and their education. After graduating it took her a little while to find that same purpose she felt while being a part of a team, but eventually, she found it through teaching.

Ashley has experience both tutoring and teaching in the classroom. She loves helping her students overcome challenges and encouraging them to be more confident in their abilities. She taught middle school mathematics in Florida and has recently decided to go back to school to earn her Bachelor’s in Mathematics at the University of South Florida. Afterwards she hopes to eventually earn her Master’s in Mathematics. Ashley’s dream is to teach at the college level and continue to share her love for learning. She believes that teaching is far more than improving a test score; it’s about inspiring students to want to find answers on their own.

Aside from teaching, Ashley also enjoys reading, going for walks with her dog, playing volleyball, and learning Spanish. She considers herself a life-long learner and hopes to lead her students to feel the same way.
