Tutor in K-8th grade reading, math, science. All environmental science, geology to college level. HSPT/SSAT Science, ACT/SAT Science.
Abigail has a B.S. in Geology from Illinois State University, a M.S. in Geology from California State University Bakersfield, and currently is a Ph.D. student in Geology at University of South Florida. Her research focuses on the insight of shallow magmatic processes on Martinique: petrology, geochemistry, analytical techniques, and field collections. She has had multiple geology jobs, and a research internship at Columbia University. She has given lectures to a very diverse population ranging from middle school, master’s level classes, and even world renown conferences. Abby is very relatable to all students especially those who may find the subject material difficult. She has had a love for science since a very young age, and found her passion for volcanoes at the age of 12. Since then, she has pursued her curiosity for geology. It is through this journey that she will guide her students to find their own passion and ultimately success in their own right. Abby will not only be their guide but their ultimate cheerleader for success. She will share her passion for science, and her “punny” humor!
She is excited to help students with: K-8th grade reading, math, and science, all environmental science, geology to college level, and HSPT/SSAT Science, ACT/SAT Science.
